Report: Tottenham agree terms for 24-year-old deadline day signing

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set up a potential deadline day signing in the January window, although it is far from a big name for the Lilywhites.

Many fans want to see a striker come through the doors at Hotspur Way before the deadline, but it looks as if they will be getting Teddy Smith, a goalkeeper.

Football Insider report that Spurs are on the verge of signing the 24-year-old today in order to reinforce their keeper ranks at the club.

Although there has been no announcement, Smith has apparently already signed a contract with the North London outfit. He was released by Southend United last summer.

After this, Smith had a trial at Tottenham and played in a pre-season game against Dulwich Hamlet.

Tottenham currently have Hugo Lloris, Alfie Whiteman, and Paulo Gazzaniga at the club, but Michel Vorm leaves at the end of the season again and Brandon Austin has been loaned out.
