Report: Tottenham agree terms for a new deal with striker

Tottenham have agreed on terms for a new deal with striker Troy Parrott according to reports.

Football Insider reported last month that the club had begun negotiations over an improved contract with Parrott and the same publication now reveals that there has been a breakthrough in talks between the club and the striker’s representatives.

Parrott, who turns 18 today, is undergoing a special training plan in North London with Jose Mourinho recently admitting that he is not ready to to help fill the void left by Harry Kane (Football.London).

The report claims that the Dublin-born prospect is ready to commit his future to Tottenham and the club are said to have now finalised discussions with the striker.

It is suggested that he will now sign a new deal with Spurs that runs until 2023.

This is certainly fantastic need if true as it indicates that Parrott believes that he has a future at the club. While it is still early days for Mourinho at Tottenham, he has so far obliterated the narrative that he doesn’t give opportunities to young players or that they don’t want to play for him. Long may that continue.
