Report: Tottenham among host of clubs interested in La Liga striker

Tottenham are among a handful of clubs interested in Espanyol striker Raul de Tomas following his impressive start to the campaign, according to Fichajes.

The 27-year-old joined the Spanish side in 2020 from Benfica and has since established himself as one of their key players.

De Tomas scored 23 goals for the side during its stint in LaLiga2 last season, and has carried this momentum into the current campaign, scoring six goals in the top division.

His form has subsequently captured the attention of Tottenham, who according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, are rivalling LaLiga outfits Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.

The report outlines that De Tomas is an ‘undisputed sensation’ who Spurs could turn to if the uncertainty surrounding the future of Harry Kane resurfaces in January or in the summer.

However, they would not be alone in their interest, with Atletico Madrid allegedly keen to recruit a new striker into their squad, while Sevilla may look to de Tomas to replace Youssef En Nesyri, who could depart the club in January.
