Report: Tottenham and Arsenal to go head to head for former Liverpool star

Recent reports indicate that the Champions League final against Liverpool will be Christian Eriksen’s last game for Tottenham before he makes a move to Real Madrid (El Chiringuito – as reported by The Mirror).

Spurs are said to be on the lookout for replacements with Leicester City’s James Maddison (Daily Mail) and Lyon’s Nabil Fekir (Le Parisien) being among a host of number 10s linked with the club in the last few weeks.

Recent reports in Italy indicate that Tottenham are also interested in pursuing AC Milan midfielder Suso. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Arsenal and Tottenham are set to go head to head for the Spaniard.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has had another solid season for the Italian giants, scoring 7 and assisting 10 others in the league this season.

Suso has been linked with Spurs in previous seasons as well (talkSPORT) but has remained in Milan for five years now after an ill-fated stint with Liverpool as a young player.

The report claims that Spanish international has a release clause of £33million in his contract.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Christian Eriksen is to depart, replacing him certainly won’t be easy as few are capable of providing what the Dane is. We at Spurs Web believe that we must attempt to bring in a world class player or at least a player who has the potential of becoming world class. Suso, while being a classy player, is not close to the kind of quality that Spurs need this transfer window.
