Report: Tottenham and Aston Villa target will not be sold for under £21m

HITC report that the race for Tottenham target Ismail Yuksek is now heating up, with Fenerbache having no intention of selling the midfielder on the cheap this summer.

Yuksek is having a fabulous campaign in Istanbul and the versatile midfielder, who can play as a six or in a box-to-box role, is expected to play a key part in Turkey’s European championship campaign this summer.

Tottenham were first credited with an interest in the 25-year-old earlier this month when Fotomac suggested that the Lilywhites had scouted the player extensively this season.

Two weeks ago, TV100 also said that the midfielder is on the radar of Ange Postecoglou’s side and claimed that he is also attracting interest from Ligue 1.

Tottenham face competition for Ismail Yuksek

HITC have now said that Spurs face plenty of competition from closer to home for Yuksek, with the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Wolves also said to be eyeing the player.

It is alleged that the Turkey international is also being closely watched by clubs in Italy and Germany, with Fenerbache resigned to losing him in the summer.

However, the publication adds that the Super Lig side will not entertain offers below €25m (£21.3m) for their talismanic midfielder.

Like many clubs this summer, Fenerbache will wait until after the Euros to sell Yuksek as they would be aware that the midfielder’s value could skyrocket if he impresses for Turkey on the big stage in Germany.
