Tottenham Hotspur still have an interest in Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The report states that Spurs were interested in the forward three years ago and Daniel Levy is still an admirer.
The arrival of Jadon Sancho and the return of Cristiano Ronaldo has cast serious doubts over Martial’s future at the club, with his place in the pecking order likely to be knocked down.
The Atheltic have reported that Martial may be a player that United consider selling, with the Red Devils confident they would receive interest from clubs regarding the French international.
The forward has struggled with form of late, only scoring four goals in the Premier League last season.
Despite this, Levy still admires the 25-year-old’s talents. It is yet to be seen whether this long-held interest will turn into a dramatic late swoop with the deadline creeping closer and closer.
Martial is an interesting option. His time at United seems like it’s coming to an ugly end and despite not being consistent last season – there is definitely a player there. Spurs signing him this transfer window feels impossible but we’ve seen stranger things on deadline day.
