Report: Tottenham and Everton both keen on 26-year-old centre-back

TuttoUdinese have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in signing Udinese centre-back Rodrigo Becao.

Becao has been a consistent performer for Udinese since joining the club back in 2019 and he has emerged as the leader of the Serie A club’s backline over the last couple of seasons.

The Brazilian’s solid displays have been a key reason behind Udinese’s impressive start to the campaign, with Andrea Sottil’s side currently sitting in fourth place in the Serie A table.

TuttoUdinese have now explained that Becao’s contract at the Dacia Arena runs out in the summer of 2024 and that he will not hold talks over a new deal until the end of the season.

The report suggests that the defender’s performances have caught the eye of several Premier League clubs.

It is alleged that, as things stand, Everton and Spurs are the ones who are ‘the most interested’ in the 26-year-old.

Spurs Web Opinion

Even if Japhet Tanganga were to be loaned out in January, I do not think Spurs are likely to sign another centre-back. In Romero, Dier, Davies, Lenglet and Sanchez, Conte has five options that he trusts for the three centre-back roles.
