Report: Tottenham and Inter Milan fighting it out for German captain

Tottenham Hotspur may be on the lookout to strengthen their strike force for next season, as a number of players could be on their way this summer.

Vincent Janssen has been frozen out by Pochettino for some time now, and it would be a huge surprise if he was still at the club come next season.

While Fernando Llorente did have his moment in the spotlight in January/February time, with Harry Kane back fit and firing, the Spanish centre forward’s role is limited at Spurs.

If Levy and Poch are to part with both of these players, they will surely need to bring in a new striker, and the latest reports claim the club are looking at Max Kruse (Sky Germany – as reported by teamtalk).

The 31-year-old Werder Bremen captain is out of contract in the summer, but has scored six goals in his last four games.

Spurs are apparently being rivalled by Inter Milan for Kruse’s signature.
