Report: Tottenham and Liverpool are both keeping an eye on PL midfielder

TBR Football have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a summer move for Adam Wharton and that Crystal Palace would let the midfielder leave if a sizeable offer comes their way this summer.

Wharton has had an impressive start to his Premier League career, having hit the ground running since his move from Blackburn Rovers to Palace in January.

According to TBR Football, the central midfielder already has a number of admirers across the Premier League and could potentially leave Selhurst Park as early as this summer.

Big move on the cards for Adam Wharton?

The report says that Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle are all keeping an eye on Wharton’s progress while Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus have also checked on the 20-year-old.

The outlet claims that while Palace have downplayed suggestions that the midfielder could leave the club, they could have a real decision to make this summer as several sides are now considering making offers.

The publication adds that having paid £22m for Wharton in January, Crystal Palace chief Steve Parish would ‘find it very hard’ to reject a deal that could see them more than double their money for a player in just six months.

Spurs Web Opinion

We know that Tottenham are eyeing a homegrown number eight and Wharton would certainly fit that category alongside Conor Gallagher, Morgan Gibbs-White and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. However, the Palace star could potentially prove to be the most expensive out of that list.
