Report: Tottenham and three other Premier League clubs dealt blow in midfielder pursuit

Tottenham Hotspur’slast purchase from Bayer Leverkusen in Germany turned out to be a stroke of genius, as Heung Min Son has quickly emerged as one of the brightest talents in the Premier League.

However, Spurs may find it far trickier to land their latest Leverkusen target, as Sky Sports have reported that Kai Havertz is happy where he is.

The report lists Tottenham, Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool as interested parties with regards to the highly-rated 20-year-old.

He is said to be completely focused on finishing the season with Leverkusen and is enjoying his time there in Germany.

Sky Sports state that Spurs, in particular, have been tracking the player for a number of years now, impressing scouts during the Mauricio Pochettino days.

So far this season, Havertz has played 19 games and registered three goals and one assist. Last season, he managed 20 goals and seven assists in 42 matches for Leverkusen (Transfer Markt).
