Report: Tottenham and West Ham fighting over Lyon attacker

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Lyon attacker, Bertrand Traore, this summer before the window shuts on August 8 (Team Talk).

The winger used to play for London rivals Chelsea, and West Ham United are also said to be keen in bringing the player back to the capital.

In fact, the Hammers gave apparently already made contact with Lyon to ask about Traore’s availability this transfer window.

Traore only ever made 16 appearances for Chelsea back in the 2015/16 season, before being loaned out for the next year at Ajax.

He was then sold to Lyon, where he has played 90 matches and scored 29 goals, boasting almost a goal every three games, which is impressive from the wing (Wikipedia).

However, Tottenham already have the likes of Heung Min Son and Lucas Moura on their wings, as well as new signing Jack Clarke from next year onwards.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would be surprised if Spurs invested in an expensive winger this summer. I don’t see it as a position that needs strengthening right now, as opposed to right-back, playmaker, and striker.
