Report: Tottenham announce fourth pre-season friendly fixture against a London club

Tottenham have announced a fourth pre-season fixture ahead of the club’s 2024/25 campaign and it involves a short trip across London to face Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, 20 July (Football London).

Spurs finished their 2023/24 campaign with a strange post-season friendly against Newcastle United in Melbourne but the squad will now be handed some time off for their summer holidays.

When the Lilywhites return, with some players on international duty at Euro 2024 and the Copa America, they will start a busy pre-season fixture list spanning across four countries.

Tottenham to play QPR in pre-season match

Tottenham play Vissel Kobe on Saturday, July 27 to start their pre-season tour of Asia, before heading to Heung-min Son’s homeland of South Korea to reunite with Harry Kane in a friendly against Bayern Munich on August 3. There is also rumoured to be another friendly in the works during the South Korea leg of the trip, possibly against a K-League All-Star team.

When Tottenham return to England, they will face off against Kane and Eric Dier’s Bayern once more at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

As well as this latest fixture against Championship side, QPR, Tottenham are also rumoured to be looking for a friendly up in Scotland, perhaps to cash in on Ange Postecoglou’s popularity in the country.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Pre-season friendlies are less about who you play and more about building match sharpness, but it will be very entertaining to see Tottenham go up against Harry Kane and Eric Dier. Will Kane score his first-ever goal against his beloved Spurs?
