Report: Tottenham announce new kit sponsorship deal

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they have reached a multi-year agreement with online car retailer cinch, who will become the club’s first official sleeve partner.

This means that fans will now be seeing another sponsorship logo on the Tottenham shirt along with that of AIA.

cinch, one of the UK’s fastest-growing online car-selling platforms, gives customers looking for used cars an array of choices and aims to speed up the process of buying one.

The logo of the company will be seen on the sleeve of both the men’s and women’s teams’ shirts for all first-team matches starting from this weekend’s round of games.

The club revealed that they will also work with the company to deliver marketing campaigns across social and digital platforms to engage with the Spurs fanbase.

Apart from cinch’s brand featuring in the matchday shirt of the men’s and women’s team, Tottenham confirmed that it will also be seen on the club’s matchday perimeter and multi-tiered digital ribbon advertising system at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Given the additional financial pressures imposed on Tottenham due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is not all that surprising that the club have decided to incorporate an additional shirt sponsor. Hopefully, this could offer the club some financial respite and potentially make contract negotiations with key players a bit easier.
