Report: Tottenham are expected to receive multiple bids for midfielder this summer

Giovani Lo Celso wants to quit Tottenham Hotspur, and the midfielder will have a slew of offers this summer to choose from if he does indeed leave North London (Football Insider).

After spending the last two seasons in Spain, on loan with Villarreal, Giovani Lo Celso came in from the cold at Spurs and was retained in Ange Postecoglou‘s squad for the current campaign.

The Argentine has made 19 appearances this season, scoring two goals and registering two assists (Transfermarkt), but has seen injuries hold him back.

Lo Celso has been frustrated with his lack of minutes under Postecoglou and is expected to ‘force an exit’ at the end of the season, with Real Betis still interested in signing him (Estadio Deportivo).

Just yesterday, Fichajes revealed Atletico Madrid are also keen on securing Lo Celso’s services and would be willing to make a big offer for the 28-year-old.

Giovani Lo Celso will have a choice to make this summer

Whatever happens, it seems Lo Celso will have a number of choices to pick from when the summer arrives, as Pete O’Rourke reveals on the Inside Track podcast for Football Insider.

It is thought Lo Celso does indeed want to leave Tottenham to find first-team opportunities, as he hasn’t hit the levels he hoped to with the Lilywhites.

With this in mind, O’Rourke claims “multiple” clubs will come in for Lo Celso at the end of the season, with teams “across Europe” expected to battle it out for his signature.

Spurs Web Opinion

I just think Lo Celso suits the Spanish game a lot better, and he clearly enjoys being in that league. He has shown glimpses of quality at Spurs but has never been consistent enough. We need to make space for non-homegrown players this summer, and I think Lo Celso will be on the list of those sacrificed.
