Sports Lens have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now eyeing Genoa’s Morten Frendrup and AS Roma’s Bryan Cristante as they scour the market for a midfielder.
The Spurs hierarchy have fulfilled Ange Postecolgou’s wish by bringing a versatile attacker and a centre-back through the door early in the transfer window, with Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin joining from RB Leipzig and Genoa respectively this week.
It was reported by The Independent on Wednesday that Tottenham’s attention now shifts to their pursuit of a midfielder, with Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher still thought to be at the top of the North London club’s wishlist.
Spurs are looking at Morten Frendrup and Cristante
Sports Lens have now also confirmed that signing a midfielder is next on Postecoglou’s agenda but they suggest that Tottenham could once again approach the Italian market.
In fact, it is suggested that the Lilywhites could look to raid Genoa again for Morten Frendrup, who has started every single Serie A game for Alberto Gilardino’s men this season.
The outlet suggests that the North London club are also watching Roma’s Bryan Cristante, who has emerged as one of the Giallorossi’s most important players over the last couple of years.

I doubt Genoa would accept any approaches for another one of their key players, having just lost Radu Dragusin to Tottenham. Cristante would be a more realistic target and would also be a better like-for-like replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
