Journalist Pete O’Rourke has reported via Football Insider that Tottenham are currently in talks with Julian Nagelsmann, Arne Slot and Vincent Kompany about their managerial vacancy.
It was reported by The Evening Standard on Thursday that Spurs are now expected to step up their hunt for a new head coach over the coming days and weeks.
It was suggested that the North London club had done their due diligence on various candidates and are now set to hold discussions with the names on their shortlist.
If O’Rourke’s latest update is to be believed, talks are currently ‘ongoing’ with Nagelsmann, Slot and Kompany.
The journalist adds that Daniel Levy wants an appointment ‘wrapped up quickly’ and is aiming to have an arrangement finalised as soon as the season comes to an end.
O’Rourke adds that convincing Harry Kane to stay at Spurs will be a ‘big factor’ in the decision Spurs make regarding the appointment.

While the Tottenham hierarchy might prefer some candidates over others, they might be going into the interview process with an open mind to see if any particular candidate stands out.
It is worth remembering that Pochettino was not Tottenham’s first-choice target back in 2014 and was hired on the back of an impressive interview performance.
