Report: Tottenham are interested in re-signing old player this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have had a number of world-class players at the club in recent years, from Luka Modric to Rafa Van der Vaart, but the player Spurs may be interested in re-signing comes from a little closer to home.

Welshman, Gareth Bale, left Tottenham for Real Madrid back in the summer of 2013 after a number of incredible seasons in the Lilywhite shirt.

However, Marca now claim that Real Madrid want rid of the winger as part of their summer clearout and Spurs are interested in taking him back.

The report states that Spurs’ interest comes with a couple of catches, one being that they are only willing to pay between €50m and €60m for the Madrid star.

The second comes in the form of wages, with Marca stating that Spurs would only pay half of Bale’s current €17m net earning per year.

Gareth is 30-years-old today and what a birthday present it would be to secure a move back to his old club.
