Report: Tottenham are keeping an eye on one Juventus star this summer

The Telegraph have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close eye on Gleison Bremer’s situation at Juventus.

Bremer has had a solid first season at the Allianz Stadium following his €50m (£42.8m) switch from Torino last summer.

However, it was reported by CalcioMercato a couple of weeks ago that Juventus would be open to cashing in on the centre-back since they need to sell some of their assets to balance their books.

The report asserted that Tottenham and Atletico Madrid had already spoken to the Brazilian’s representatives about a potential summer transfer.

The Telegraph have now also backed up Spurs’ interest in Bremer, claiming that the Lilywhies have identified the Juve star as one of the options to bolster their backline.

It is explained that the 26-year-old’s future could depend on whether they are other outgoings at the Bianconeri this summer.

The publication adds that Bremer also has other admirers in the Premier League and all the clubs are ‘waiting to see’ if the player would be put up for sale by the Serie A giants.

Spurs Web Opinion

Bremer is a top centre-back and has the mobility and pace to play in a high line.

However, he is not in the top tier when it comes to ability with the ball at his feet or vision, which is why I do not see him as a perfect fit for Postecoglou’s system.

Juventus will likely demand well over £50m for the 26-year-old and I feel that there are better options in the market for that price range such as Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori.
