According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham are leading the race to sign Barcelona striker Memphis Depay this summer.
Depay has made a decent impact since his move to Camp Nou in the summer, having found the back of the net 10 times in 20 La Liga matches so far (Transfermarkt).
However, the Netherlands international has not been a regular in Barca’s starting eleven since Xavi took over as head coach.
Mundo Deportivo claim that Depay is of interest to several Premier League clubs, with Spurs currently the front-runners for the centre-forward’s signature.
With the former Manchester United man contracted to Barca only until 2023, it is revealed that the La Liga giants would consider cashing in on him this summer.
The report adds that according to some sources, Spurs have made an offer for Depay but the Catalan club have neither confirmed nor denied this information, although they do admit Tottenham’s interest in the player.
The 28-year-old is also said to be of interest to the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli ahead of the summer transfer window.

Depay would be perfect for Spurs as not only would he be able to lead the line in Kane’s absence but he could also partner the England captain up front if need be.
While the Dutchman did not set the Premier League alight at Man Utd, he is now a much-improved player and I believe he would be a good addition to the Tottenham squad.
