Report: Tottenham are now confident Conte will stay beyond the summer

90Min have reported that Tottenham are confident Antonio Conte will remain at the club beyond this summer, despite recent speculation.

Conte has not even had a full season in North London yet, having joined in November 2021 after the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo.

This comes after the likes of Le Parisien reported this month that PSG were planning on sacking sack Mauricio Pochettino and had Tottenham’s Conte on a list of potential replacements.

The same publication even claimed that Conte has offered himself to the French giants on a two-year contract.

Get French Football News subsequently reported that Daniel Levy was still in contact with Pochettino and was attempting to convince him to make a North London return.

However, 90Min claim that Spurs are confident Conte is committed to ‘his current project in the long-term’.

The Lilywhites are still in a race for Champions League football next season, and have a big summer transfer window on the horizon.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would be surprised if Conte left this summer, especially for PSG. It just doesn’t seem like his kind of job, seeing as the only challenge is a Champions League win. I expect him to see out a full year at Spurs, then assess where he thinks the club are going.
