Reports out of Turkey suggest Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson is ‘expected to leave’ the club amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Nelsson has just helped Galatasaray seal the Super Lig title this season, but that may have been his final involvement with the Turkish side.
The 24-year-old was a rock at the back for his side across 35 appearances this term, and even managed to contribute one goal and one assist from the heart of defence (Transfermarkt).
Nelsson’s current contract runs to 2026, but he does have a release clause of just €25m which could be activated this summer.
Apparently, the commanding centre-half is “expected to leave” the Turkish giants this summer. Tottenham are among those keen on the player, and are currently the “most serious buyer.”
The report claims Victor Nelsson would be perfectly “suitable” for a move to the Premier League, thanks to his “warrior identity and quickness.”
If Spurs want him, they will have to meet the figure quoted above. Meanwhile, Galatasaray have already sounded out Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu as a replacement.

I always like it when we are linked with these kinds of fiery, no-nonsense defenders.
I think we are seriously lacking conviction and fight in our defensive line and we need someone who can match what Cristian Romero brings to the side.
Nelsson sounds like he could be that kind of player, and we know exactly how much he will cost which should save us some time.
