Report: Tottenham are set to launch an offer for Sevilla centre-back

According to El Chiringuito TV, Tottenham Hotspur are now set to push ahead with an offer for Sevilla centre-back Loic Bade.

It is now clear that Spurs are close to strengthening at centre-back by bringing Radu Dragusin through the door, with various sources suggesting that the Lilywhites expected to finalise a deal for the Romanian in the next few days (Fabrizio Romano).

However, Tottenham may also be about to lose another centre-back, with some outlets reporting over the last 24 hours that Bayern Munich are now set to launch a move for Eric Dier after agreeing personal terms with the England international (Football Insider).

Spurs are looking at Loic Bade from Sevilla

If El Chiringuito TV’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs also want to bring a second defender through the door this month in the form of Bade.

The 23-year-old impressed on loan at Sevilla from Rennes during the second half of last season, with the La Liga club taking the option to sign him permanently last summer.

The Frenchman has hit even greater heights this campaign, having established himself as a mainstay in Quique Sanchez Flores’ backline.

Bade’s displays have allegedly caught Tottenham’s eye, with El Chiringuito TV claiming that the Lilywhites ‘will soon present an offer’ to Sevilla for the player.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am not too sure it would make sense for Tottenham to sign another right-footed centre-back this window even if Dier leaves. In case there is another injury crisis at the back, Emerson and Davies have shown that they are more than capable of filling in in the middle of the defence.
