Tottenham Hotspur may be finally free of Tanguy Ndombele very soon, as the Frenchman’s contract looks set to be terminated this summer, but the parting is expected to be an amicable one.

Signed for a huge £60m in 2019, it’s safe to say Ndombele has been a failed transfer for Tottenham. The midfielder made 91 appearances for the Lilywhites, registering ten goals and nine assists (Transfermarkt).
He has spent the last two-and-a-half years out on loan, at his former club Lyon, Italian side Napoli, and most recently, Galatasaray. However, everywhere he has gone, Ndombele has failed to impress and his reputation has sunk lower and lower.
Funnily enough, he has actually won league titles with his last two clubs, picking up a Serie A medal with Napoli, and winning the Turkish league this term.

Tanguy Ndombele’s contract set to be terminated
With his loan spell coming to an end, Ndombele is due to return to Spurs at the end of this month, but it now seems he will not turn out for the Premier League side ever again.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who claim Spurs are now ready to terminate his contract this summer.
It is thought the club and the player will “soon separate amicably” and, apparently, this outcome is “all but sealed” already.
Sources suggest the two parties have “agreed on an amicable termination of contract” and that the Frenchman will be free to find a new club “in the coming days.” The report claims Ndombele will have “opportunities” elsewhere once he is a free agent.
Spurs Web Opinion
I have never been happier to see a player set for release. Good riddance to Tanguy Ndombele, who has been a complete waste of time and money for this football club. How someone can be so talented yet fail to put in the effort is beyond me.
