Report: Tottenham are still working on three signings this window

The Daily Mail have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur hope to pull off three new signings before the January transfer window shuts.

It emerged two weeks ago following Antonio Conte’s meeting with the Spurs hierarchy that the North London club were set to target a right wing-back, a central midfielder and a striker.

Traore was reported to be the club’s number one target, with Conte allegedly wanting to convert the Wolves winger into a wing-back.

However, over recent days, sources have indicated that the 25-year-old is not close to joining Spurs, with some publications backing him to stay at the Molineux Stadium until the end of the season.

This has now been contradicted by The Mail, who claim that the Lilywhites are still hoping to snap up Traore before the end of the month. The report reveals that the Wolves man is one of three deals that the club are working on.

Spurs are also thought to be keen on signing a striker who can serve as Harry Kane’s backup and a central defender.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be extremely surprised if the club failed to make any new singings before the window shuts in two weeks. I expect a right wing-back and a forward to be their main priorities. I do not expect Spurs to sign a new central midfielder or a centre-back this month unless a few players depart (either on loan or permanently).
