Report: Tottenham are throwing ‘first-ever’ event on final day of the PL season

Tottenham Hotspur fans will have the chance to watch both the Men’s team and the Women’s team back-to-back on May 20th in what has been described as a ‘fantastic opportunity’ as the current campaign comes to a close.

The Tottenham Men’s team have just three fixtures left to play this season and still have the chance to secure a place in one of the European competitions next year if results go their way.

There is just one home fixture left for the Men’s senior side, with Brentford set to visit the Tottenham Hotspur stadium later this month.

Spurs will take on Thomas Frank’s side in the 12:30 kick-off on Saturday 20th May in what could be a crucial tie for both teams.

Meanwhile, the Spurs Women’s side have just two games left in the Women’s Super League and need all the points they can get as they linger close to the foot of the table.

The Women’s team will take on bottom club Reading in an afternoon kick-off on the 20th May, and now fans of the teams can see both fixtures for the price of one in a first-of-its-kind move by a club.

A club statement reads: “All tickets for the Premier League fixture will now be inclusive of the WSL fixture, giving regular followers of our Men’s team a fantastic opportunity to make a day of it at the stadium and show their support for Spurs Women in what is set to be a crucial match in the fight for top-flight survival.”

It is the ‘first-ever’ event of this kind for Tottenham between the men’s and women’s teams (DailyMail).

What a great idea by the club, to get more fans in the stadium in general and hopefully get more eyes on the Women’s Super League too.

Now, we just hope that both sides can get the win on the day that they need to make it a pleasant end to a tough season.
