Report: Tottenham, Arsenal and Juventus all interested in PSG midfielder

According to Calciomercato.it, Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs who have expressed an interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes this summer.

Tottenham reportedly wanted to sign Parades during the January transfer windows but the Argentine was not interested in making the move at the time (The Athletic).

Antonio Conte’s men snapped up Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus instead and the Uruguayan has hit the ground running in North London.

Calciomercato.it have now explained that Juventus and Roma also enquired about Parades during January. It is alleged that Juve are expected to reignite their interest in the Argentina international when the transfer window reopens.

In addition, Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal are also said to be ready to open talks with PSG regarding the 27-year-old.

The report asserts that the Ligue 1 giants would be open to cashing on Parades this summer since his current deal runs out in 2023.

The Parisians are expected to demand €25m (£20.8m) for the midfielder but €20m (£16.6m) could be enough to clinch the deal.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think Conte will make wholesale changes in the central midfield area this summer but Spurs will likely be in the market for a replacement for Harry Winks. Parades would fit the bill, given that he is likely to be available for a modest fee and can perform quite a similar role to the 26-year-old.
