Report: Tottenham attacker subject to interest from the Middle East

According to Goal Brazil, Lucas Moura is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia ahead of the summer transfer window.

While Moura struggled for game time in the first half of last campaign, the winger showed his qualities when he had a run of matches under his belt after the turn of the year, even shining in the number ten role on several occasions.

However, with Spurs reportedly having to sell players in order to raise funds for their transfer targets, it has been suggested (by Alasdair Gold) that the North London club would be willing to sell Moura if they received a suitable offer this summer.

Goal Brazil have now claimed that Saudi rivals, Al Hilal and Al Nassr, have both enquired about the Spurs star and could make an offer for him.

It is explained that while Al Hilal have been interested in Moura for a long time, Al Nassr are now also set to challenge their rivals for his signature.

The 28-year-old is said to be open to a move away from Spurs if the right project comes along. However, the report adds that a decision over Moura’s future is unlikely to be reached before Tottenham appoint their next manager.

Spurs Web Opinion

I certainly would not be in a hurry to get rid of Lucas this summer. Even though he might not be consistent enough to be a regular starter, he has proven that he can be an excellent option to bring on from the bench against tired legs.

The Brazilian is also a player who puts the team first and is thus unlikely to sulk if he does not get too many opportunities. I think he is too valuable as a squad player for Spurs to consider selling him for less than £25m.
