Report: Tottenham attempting to sell player to Juventus for £26m this summer

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, Fabio Paratici is attempting to sell Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon to his former side, Juventus.

Reguilon struggled to nail down a place in Antonio Conte’s Spurs side in the second half of the season, with Ryan Sessegnon seemingly being preferred as the wing-back option on the left side by the end of the campaign.

Spurs purchased Reguilon from Real Madrid in 2020 for a £27 million fee (TransferMarkt). However, despite showing potential at left-back, the Spaniard arguably failed to reach the required levels of attacking output needed for Conte’s wing-back system.

It now looks as though the 25-year-old could depart N17 this summer, with The Mirror claiming that a controversial move to Barcelona could be on the cards for the former Real man.

CalcioMercatoWeb have now suggested that Paratici is in contact with his former employer Juventus in the hopes of securing Reguilon a £26 million switch.

The Spanish outlet has also suggested that Spurs will target AZ Alkmaar defender Owen Wijndal to replace the outgoing Reguilon (CalcioMercatoWeb).

Spurs Web Opinion

I was very excited when Spurs managed to fend off competition to sign Reguilon. He has had a fairly solid career for the Lilywhites but has frustratingly never been able to consistently show the obvious talent that is there.

If he can improve his decision-making in the final third, Reguilon could be a very shrewd buy for a number of top European clubs.
