Journalist Rudy Galetti has revealed that Atalanta would be willing to sell rumoured Tottenham target Teun Koopmeiners for €50m (£43m) this summer.
Koopmeiners has been one of the most consistent midfielders on show in Serie A over the last few years and the Dutchman now looks set to make up a step up to a bigger club this summer.
The 26-year-old himself told De Telegraaf a few weeks ago that he is seeking a new challenge and had informed the Bergamo club of his decision.
Tottenham are one of the clubs thought to be plotting a move for the Netherlands international, with various outlets suggesting over the last couple of months that the Lilywhites have knocked on the door over a move for the player (Tuttosport).
It was reported by Sport Mediaset last week that Chelsea were also quite keen on the midfielder, who was alleged to be valued at €60m (£51.2m) by Atalanta.
Teun Koopmeiners asking price drops
Galetti has now taken to social media to reveal that Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are willing to sell Koopmeiners if they receive a suitable offer.
MORE SPURS STORIES
He suggests that a bid of around €50m (£43m) would be enough to poach the midfielder from the Gewiss Stadium this summer.
The journalist does not make any mention of Spurs, instead naming Chelsea and Juventus as being among the clubs interested in the Serie A star.
Spurs Web Opinion
It seems like Tottenham are keener on signing Ederson from Atalanta than Koopmeiners. For the number eight role, it appears Spurs are leaning towards a homegrown option, with the likes of Conor Gallagher and Morgan Gibbs-White being the top targets.
