Aksam have claimed that Fenerbahce’s Sebastian Szymanski looks set to join Tottenham with the Premier League side said to be close to agreeing a deal for the versatile midfielder.
Szymanski has impressed for Fenerbahce
Szymanski is an attacking midfielder by trade but can also operate in a box-to-box role or out wide and he set Turkish football alight last season, with 13 goals and 19 assists across all competitions.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs all summer and Aksam now claim that the Lilywhites are close to wrapping up the deal to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The report claims that Ange Postecoglou‘s side have been following Szymanski for a long time and are now working to strike a full agreement with Fenerbahce over his transfer.
It is revealed that Spurs have now made an offer of €25m plus bonuses for the midfielder, a figure which the Turkish side are ‘positive about’.
Szymanski represented Poland at Euro 2024
The outlet states the Poland international is expected to complete a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ‘in a short time’.
In fact, it is asserted that Fenerbahce are already drafting plans on how to spend the money that they will pocket from Spurs for the 25-year-old.
Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham would undoubtedly need to replace Giovani Lo Celso if he leaves but I would have thought that the box would be ticked by signing one of Eberechi Eze or Desire Doue to compete with James Maddison.
This Szymanski story has not been picked up by British outlets yet, which is why Spurs fans must take this report with a pinch of salt.
