90 min have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a move for Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda.
Fresneda only made his senior debut for Valladolid back in September and has played just nine times for the club across all competitions (Transfermarkt) but he is already said to be attracting attention from a whole host of clubs.
90 min claim that scouts from several top clubs across Europe have sent representatives to check on the 19-year-old this season. It is asserted that Valladolid are ready to sell the teenager during the current transfer window, with La Liga said to value the player at €20m (£17.6m).
Tottenham are named in the report as one of the clubs who are considering an approach for Fresneda while Premier League rivals, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, have also allegedly watched the youngster.
However, 90 min suggests that it is Newcastle United who are leading the race for the Spain Under-19s international, with Magpies said to have held talks with Valladolid regarding the right-back, although there are no agreements as things stand.
Spurs Web Opinion
Paratici could well be eyeing a deal similar to the Destiny Udogie and Pape Sarr ones, where Fresneda is signed and loaned back to Valladolid. Such a deal might be appealing to the La Liga club but it seems like Tottenham would have to beat out a lot of competition to get their hands on the teenager.
