Belgium boss Roberto Martinez is in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over the vacant head coach position in North London, according to Sky Sports.

The report claims that the Spaniard, who will lead Belgium into the European Championships next month has told friends that he is looking forward to returning to club management after his involvement in this summer’s tournament comes to an end.

Talks with the former Swansea City manager are continuing to take place this week with former RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick and Brighton’s Graham Potter also said to be on the managerial shortlist.

Mauricio Pochettino has also been mentioned about a potential return to North London, with Football.London claiming that the Argentine is not currently considered to be a candidate unless his situation at Paris Saint-Germain changes.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy took the decision to sack Jose Mourinho last month just days before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
