Report: Tottenham continue to scout West Ham United player

Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to monitor the progress of West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen, according to The Independent.

The report claims that Spurs, along with Leicester City and Liverpool are still tasking their scouting departments to watch the 24-year-old.

Football.London reported in January 2019 that Tottenham were keen on Bowen while he was still at Hull City, but were weighing up a move at the end of the season rather during the winter transfer window.

A move to North London failed to materialise and the midfielder instead joined West Ham United in January of last year in a deal worth over £20million, having penned a five-and-a-half year contract (BBC).

Bowen was once again in impressive form for the Hammers during their Premier League clash against Manchester United at the weekend.

Bowen is a talented footballer, but another wide player is not what Tottenham are desperately lacking at this moment in time.

The club have failed to replace Christian Eriksen and his ability to unlock a defence with a killer pass is still something which the current crop of players struggle to replicate.

A creative spark is what Fabio Paratici and the rest of the Spurs board should be focusing their energy on at this moment.
