Report: Tottenham continue to ‘weigh up’ move for 25-year-old PL star

Sky Sports have claimed on their live transfer blog that Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to contemplate whether or not to make a move for Bournemouth centre-back Lloyd Kelly this month.

Several outlets have continued to report over the last 24 hours that Spurs remain confident of getting a deal for Radu Dragusin over the line (Football Insider).

This includes an update by Fabrizio Romano, who revealed on Friday night that the Lilywhites will continue holding negotiations with Genoa over the weekend and that they will soon make an official offer.

Lloyd Kelly is still a target for Tottenham Hotspur

Sky Sports have now stated that Spurs are still ‘weighing up’ whether to submit a bid for Kelly or if they should wait until next summer to sign him on a free transfer.

The outlet claims that the 25-year-old is ‘relaxed’ about his situation and continues to assess all his options, including signing a new contract and running out his current deal.

The publication points out that Kelly is now free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with non-English sides, with Juventus, AC Milan and Stuttgart thought to be circling over the player.

Spurs Web Opinion

Davies’ impressive displays over the last couple of months would likely convince Postecoglou to put off signing a left centre-back until next summer.  However, if the Welshman’s hamstring injury turns out to be serious, perhaps Spurs would be tempted to move for Kelly during the current window.
