Report: Tottenham could add another leg to their pre-season tour in Asia

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur could play another pre-season friendly in July, as well as the two pre-season matches they have pencilled in to play in South Korea.

Tottenham confirmed on Tuesday that the team will travel to South Korea in July for pre-season in preparation for the 2022/23 season.

This will be the club’s third visit to South Korea, having previously competed in the Peace Cup in 2015 and organised a promotional trip to the country in 2017.

It was revealed that Spurs will play two exhibition matches in the country as part of the Coupang Play Series and would also be engaging with their Korean fans and celebrating their local culture.

Gold has now revealed that the club could add a second leg to their pre-season tour in Asia, having missed out on the opportunity to go on promotional tours over the last two years owing to the pandemic.

The journalist explained that since pre-season tours are often three-match affairs, the Lilywhites could play one more friendly before returning to the UK.

Spurs Web Opinion

We know that Spurs have travelled to Asia and North America regularly in the summer over the past couple of decades. So, I would not be surprised if the schedule for this pre-season is more packed than usual as the club could not fulfil their commitments over the last couple of years.
