Alfredo Pedulla has revealed on his website that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a summer move for Borussia Monchengladbach centre-back Nico Elvedi.
Elvedi has been a mainstay in the Gladbach backline for the best part of a decade and the has been capped 43 times for Switzerland since making his international debut in 2016.
However, there are now some doubts regarding what the future holds for the defender since he will be down to the final 12 months of his contract at Borussia Park this June (Transfermarkt).
Pedulla has now revealed that Elvedi’s future ‘will be decided in the coming months’, with Gladbach having offered the player a new contract.
However, in the event that the centre-back does not sign the new deal, it is asserted that the German club will cash in on him in the summer.
Tottenham are said to be monitoring Elvedi’s situation while the player is also alleged to be of interest to Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

Spurs Web Opinion
Elvedi has been a solid but unspectacular performer for Gladbach over the years but one would expect Conte to demand a higher calibre of centre-back in the summer.
Having said that, there is no doubt that the 26-year-old will be an upgrade on Davinson Sanchez if Spurs are looking at the Swiss defender as potential cover for the right centre-back role.
