Report: Tottenham could battle Man United for Juventus starlet

TuttoJuve have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have now expressed an interest in securing the services of Juventus youngster Dan Huijsen.

Huijsen, who has been tipped as a potential first-team player at Juventus from a tender age, broke into the Bianconeri’s senior side earlier this season.

The Turin giants decided to loan the 18-year-old out to AS Roma last month so that he can get some competitive football under his belt and the teenager has made a fabulous start to his spell in the capital.

Just five games into his Giallorossi career, the young defender has already shown signs that he is good enough to shine at the Serie A level and it turns out that Spurs are now keeping a close eye on him.

Man United and Tottenham are keen on Dan Huijsen

However, TuttoJuve explain that Tottenham are not the only Premier League side interested in Huijsen, with Manchester United also liking what they have seen from the Dutchman.

It is alleged that both the Lilywhites and the Red Devils would be prepared to pay €30m (£25.6m) for the centre-back at the end of the season.

However, the publication adds that the Serie A club might not want to lose the talented youngster, given how highly they rate him.

While Juve would ideally want to hold on to Huijsen, we know that every player in their squad has a price, given the club’s current financial predicament. It is only a question of whether Spurs or Man Utd would be prepared to meet the number that the Old Lady demand.
