Report: Tottenham could be priced out of a move for winger

According to Sky Sports, PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke might prove to be too expensive for Tottenham to sign this summer.

Madueke was born in Barnet and came through the ranks in the Tottenham academy before moving to PSV in 2018.

The teenager established himself in the Eredivisie giants’ starting eleven last season, scoring 9 goals and providing 8 assists and he has also made a blistering start to the new season, shining in PSV’s Champions League qualifiers.

According to reports, Spurs are interested in bringing the 19-year-old back to North London, while the likes of Wolves and Leicester are also thought to be looking at the winger.

In fact, it was alleged that Tottenham were one of several clubs who sent scouts to watch Madueke in action against Benfica last week.

However, Sky Sports have now suggested that the England Under-21 international might be out of Spurs’ reach this summer.

The report claims that PSV value Madueke at around £30m-£35m, a figure that could be too expensive for Tottenham, as well Leicester and Wolves.

It is explained that the Dutch club wish to hold on to the former Spurs youngster and extend his current contract, which expires in 2024.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given the speculation linking us to the likes of Madueke, Adama Traore, Mikkel Damsgaard and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, it appears like Paratici is keen on landing a wide player before the window slams shut. That is quite puzzling considering that we already have Son, Lucas, Berwign and Gil.
