Report: Tottenham could compete with two other PL clubs for Juventus star

Gazzetta Dello Sport have revealed that Tottenham are one of three Premier League clubs who are interested in a summer move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Until last summer, it seemed like Rabiot’s career was heading nowhere, with the midfielder largely flattering to deceive since his move from Paris Saint-Germain to Turin.

However, the Frenchman has managed to turn things around this season, having been one of Juve’s most consistent performers so far across 2022-23. The 27-year-old also impressed at the World Cup with Les Blues, who finished runners-up in Qatar.

Rabiot’s future is up in the air, with his current contract at the Allianz Stadium running out in June (Transfermarkt) and there are no signs at the moment to suggest that the midfielder is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Gazzetta have stated that Spurs are keeping an eye on the former PSG star’s situation and suggest that the Lilywhites could face competition for the player from their North London rivals, Arsenal.

The publication adds that Liverpool could also be ones to ‘watch out for’ in the race for Rabiot’s signature.

Spurs Web Opinion

Rabiot’s talent is not in doubt but I have some misgivings about the midfielder’s attitude.

The fact that he has upped his game this season in order to put himself on the shop window is also not a glowing endorsement of his character.

I am convinced that the Frenchman will make outlandish salary demands, which is why I doubt if a move to Spurs is one the cards.
