Report: Tottenham could make late move for Romanian attacker

According to Romanian publication Sport.ro, Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in Parma winger Dennis Man.

Harry Kane’s revelation on Wednesday that he will be staying at Spurs this summer came as a big boost to the North London club.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s attacking options now look a lot more promising and the Portuguese coach allegedly also wants Adama Traore to be added to the squad before the window slams shut.

According to claims coming out of Romania, another surprising name is on Spurs’ wishlist in the days left in the window – that of Man.

The 22-year-old, who can play as a striker or on the right-wing, made an impressive start to life in the Serie A after arriving in Italy last January.

However, Man’s efforts were not enough to help Parma preserve their top-flight status as the club finished rock-bottom last season.

Sport.ro claim that Tottenham could now look to offer the Romanian international an exit route.

It remains to be seen whether Nuno’s men will follow up on their interest in Man, now that Harry Kane’s future has been temporarily resolved.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am surprised that Spurs have not replaced Carlos Vinicius with another target man to serve as Kane’s backup. A new striker certainly seems unlikely at this stage of the transfer window.

The uncertainty over Kane’s future might have crippled the club’s plans. Perhaps Nuno has also communication that he is reasonably happy to use the likes of Son and Bergwijn as strikers if Kane is injured or needs a rest.
