Football.London have revealed that after striking an agreement on the transfer of Lucas Bergvall, Tottenham Hotspur and Djurgarden could now set up a long-term partnership.
Tottenham struck a deal with the Swedish club over Bergvall on deadline day last month, with the midfielder set to link up with the Spurs squad next season.
According to reports, there is plenty of excitement at Hotspur Way about the 18-year-old’s capture, with the youngster expected to be a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s first-team squad next season (Football Insider).
Djurgardens IF sporting director Bosse Andersson confirmed to Fotbollskanalen a couple of days ago that as part of the agreement, Spurs could travel to Stockholm to play a pre-season friendly next summer.

Potential partnership between Spurs and Djurgarden
Football.London have now shed light on the other things that Andersson divulged in the meeting between the club’s members earlier this week.
The report reveals that it emerged from the meeting that Djurgarden received five written bids for Bergvall last month, with Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt thought to submitted offers along with an unnamed club from Ligue 1 and another unnamed Spanish side.
In the meeting, it was also mentioned that Tottenham and Djurgarden want to set up a partnership going forward and the two clubs will meet in the next few weeks to formalise that.
The report explains that as part of the partnership, the two clubs could exchange academy players over the coming years, with the possibility of some Spurs players also moving to the Swedish side.

Djurgarden have an extensive network of youth scouts, with the club’s academy often securing the best-emerging talent from in and around Stockholm at an extremely young age.
This type of partnership could thus work in Tottenham’s favour, with the Lilywhites potentially having first dibs on the Swedish club’s players.
