The Guardian have reported that Tottenham could sign as many as three new central defenders this summer as they look to revamp that part of the squad.
The report claims that Spurs are putting Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga up for sale, and it could be a case of two out and three in.

Tottenham currently have the likes of Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Joe Rodon, and Cristian Romero also on the books in the centre-back department.
Spurs have three targets on the go at the moment
The Guardian claim that Spurs are in ‘advanced talks’ with Wolfsburg for Micky van de Ven, who is valued at around £30m this summer.
Edmond Tapsoba is also confirmed to be another centre-back in their crosshairs, albeit at the more expensive price tag of £50m, but Spurs are looking to sign one of the two, not both.
Tottenham are reportedly still looking at a permanent Clement Lenglet deal too, after he spent a season on loan in North London last year.
Spurs Web Opinion:
I don’t see Spurs signing three new centre-backs this summer, unless they do manage to get someone like Lenglet on a free.
I imagine that Sanchez, Tanganga, and Rodon will depart in some form, and Spurs will look to sign a couple of good options to start next to Romero and cover.
