Report: Tottenham deal to sign World Cup finalists ‘seems certain’

Tottenham Hotspur failed to sign a single player over the entirety of the 2018/19 season, becoming the first ever Premier League side to do so.

However, it has been a case of no money, no problem for the Lilywhites, as their settled squad has charged into a three horse race for the title.

They now sit just five points below both Man City and Liverpool, with a game in hand on last year’s champions.

TuttoSport have now reported that Spurs may finally add to their squad in the summer, with none other than Ivan Perisic the man in question (as reported by The Guardian).

They say that Pochettino fell in love with the player after watching him play against Spurs in the Champions League this season.

They also claim that Spurs made a loan move for the player in January, but Inter Milan were only keen on a permanent transfer.

TuttoSport now say that ‘Perisic and Tottenham are now betrothed, and it seems certain that the wedding will happen in the summer.’
