Report: Tottenham defender is now the target of two European giants

According to the Mirror, KieranTrippier is now involved in a tug of war between Italian giants Napoli and Juventus.

The right-back was one of the best in his position back in the Russia World Cup in the summer of 2018 for England, making it all the way to the semi-finals.

Tripps even swept home a free-kick early on in the semi against Croatia, but England were eventually knocked out of the competition.

Unfortunately, Trippier failed to replicate his World Cup form when returning to North London, enduring his worst season in a Spurs shirt by far.

As a result, it looks as if Trippier could leave for Italy for a fee of around £25m this summer (Mirror).

It was reported back in May that Kieran Trippier’s wife was looking at schools in Naples ahead of a potential £20m move to Napoli (Sun).

However, this week, reports emerged that Juventus were expected to bid £25m for the defender (Telegraph).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Whatever happens this transfer window, if I was in charge, Serge Aurier would be the first right-back out the door. I would be tempted to keep Trippier as I believe he deserves a second chance, but perhaps not as first choice.
