Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season training is now well underway, with a number of first-team stars returning at the start of the week (Tottenham).
The first batch of returnees included Champions League semi-final hero Lucas Moura, Harry Winks, Ben Davies, Kyle Walker-Peters, Erik Lamela, Eric Dier, Paulo Gazzaniga, and more.
The Spurs first team will be arriving in waves due to varying international commitments. For example, Serge Aurier is still at the African Cup of Nations and Juan Foyth only just finished the Copa America.
However, one Tottenham player who has not showed up for training and did also not have international duties is Vincent Janssen (Football London).
Janssen has barely appeared for the Lilywhites in the past two seasons, bar a handful of substitute cameos towards the end of the last Premier League campaign.
The Dutchman has a year left on his current contract, and Football London believe Spurs will not stand in the way of a transfer away from the club.
Absence from pre-season does tend to suggest that he is not in Pochettino’s plans for next season, in my opinion.
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has also not yet returned to pre-season training.
