Tottenham are interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella, according to Il Messaggero.
Spurs are said to be eyeing up the 25-year-old but the report does not reveal the exact extent of their interest or a valuation behind a potential deal.
TuttoMercatoWeb previously reported Spurs were among a host of admirers in the Premier League, with Antonio Conte keen to secure a reunion with Barella after a successful period together at Inter which yielded the Serie A title.
However, the same report explained the Italy international’s preference would be to stay with the Nerazzurri, whom he joined permanently from Cagliari in 2020.
Spurs Web Opinion
Barella has been a key piece of the Inter squad for a couple of seasons now and it is likely that he will cost a significant amount to prise him away.
He is very familiar with Conte and it is clear to see why Spurs hold an interest in him. It would be a big addition to their midfield options but given they have added to that position over the last two transfer windows, it seems an unlikely move.
