Report: Tottenham ‘expected to agree’ deal for PL star before window closes

According to 90 min, Tottenham Hotspur’s offer for Adama Traore is expected to be accepted by Wolves in the closing week of the transfer window.

Traore has been linked with a move to Spurs on and off over the summer, with Nuno Espirito Santo alleged to be keen on a reunion with the winger.

Tottenham struggled to cope with the 25-year-old’s pace and ball-carrying ability on Sunday as they came up with a hard-fought 1-0 win from the Molineux Stadium.

Reports emerged earlier today that the North Londoners were set to accelerate talks with Wolves regarding a loan deal for Traore with a view to making it permanent for £40m.

90 min have now revealed that Wolves are expected to accept Tottenham’s offer for the Spanish international.

The report claims that Traore, who has two years left on his contract at the West Midlands club, is pushing for a move to Spurs.

It is also explained that Liverpool and Leeds both showed interest in the pacy wide man this summer but were put off by Wolves’ £40m valuation.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham fans on social media seem to be quite divided over the Traore links. While I understand concerns over his lack of end product, I believe that his ball-carrying ability will still be a great asset in getting us up the pitch.

If the 25-year-old’s decision making in the final third improves over the next couple of years, we might potentially have a hell of a player on our hands.
