A new report from Football Transfers suggests Eberechi Eze has an ‘agreement’ in place with Crystal Palace that allows him to leave the club this summer, and Tottenham Hotspur are expected to start talking to the Eagles about a transfer within the next fortnight.

It has been a terrific season for Eze, who scored 11 goals and registered six assists as Palace achieved a tenth-placed finish in the Premier League.
However, it may have been his last season with Palace, as multiple reports suggest the England international is preparing to make the step up to a top club. According to Football Insider, a fee of £70m might be needed to prise Eze away from Palace, though.
It is thought Tottenham and Chelsea will battle it out for the 25-year-old this summer, with Eze believed to be the kind of player Ange Postecoglou has identified to upgrade his squad (GiveMeSport).

Spurs ready to make a move for Eberechi Eze
Now, the latest comes from Football Transfers, with a claim that Eze will be allowed to leave Palace if a suitable offer is made, and Tottenham are about to put themselves “in the driving seat” in the race to sign him.
Palace are expected “to honour a gentleman’s agreement” with Eze, which would see offers accepted for the “unofficial release clause” of €70 million (£60m).
While his manager, Oliver Glasner is “keen on retaining” Eze, and the player himself “will not push for a transfer,” there is an understanding that the move could well happen if that valuation is met.
Spurs are now ready to take the first key step to secure the signing by “making an early move,” with “initial discussions” planned within the next two weeks. However, Eze’s probably involvement in Euro 2024 could slow things down.

Eberechi Eze would be a huge signing, and is the kind of player that would really help take us to the next level. He can score, create chances, and has the energy and dynamism to make us tick. We have to make this transfer happen.
