Report: Tottenham expected to submit offer for Brazilian star in ‘coming days’

According to Goal Brasil, Tottenham are expected to submit an offer for Everton striker Richarlison in the coming days.

Reports over recent days have indicated that Spurs are hopeful of signing an attacker before selling Steven Bergwijn to Ajax (The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare).

The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Antonio Conte’s men have held talks with Everton over Richarlison and have even discussed the possibility of using Harry Winks as a makeweight in the deal.

Goal Brazil have claimed that Spurs now wish to meet the 25-year-old’s representatives to discuss personal terms over the coming days before presenting an offer to the Toffees.

The report adds that Spurs wish to formalise an offer for the striker before the end of June. However, The Telegraph state that Spurs have come nowhere close to Everton’s valuation so far, with the Merseysiders holding out for at least £50m.

Richarlison is said to be tempted by a move to North London as the forward is keen on playing in the Champions League.

Goal add that Everton are aware of the striker’s intention to leave Goodison Park this summer and Frank Lampard’s men have also received enquiries from the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester United, PSG and Real Madrid for the former Watford man.

One can argue that Raphinha is more talented than Richarlison but I believe that the latter would suit Tottenham’s needs much better at this moment. The Everton star’s work rate off the ball and his attacking versatility would make him a natural fit into Conte’s system.
