Jeunes Footeux have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur hold an interest in Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert.
While Spurs are reportedly looking to strengthen at right wing-back during the current transfer window (Fabrizio Romano), Antonio Conte is seemingly content with the options he has on the other flank.
The Italian has Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon at his disposal while Destiny Udogie will return to the club next summer after the completion of his loan spell back at Udinese.
Jeunes Footeux have now claimed Spurs are eyeing another young emerging left wing-back in the form of Truffert.
The 21-year-old has developed impressively since breaking into Rennes’ starting eleven back in 2020 and has six assists to his name across all competitions so far this season despite featuring mostly as a conventional left-back in a back four rather than a wing-back.
Truffert won his first international camp for Les Blues back in September and it is asserted that Tottenham are now keeping a close eye on his performances.
Spurs Web Opinion
Udogie does seem like the real deal but that does not mean that Spurs are not likely to look for another left wing-back next summer. Both Perisic and Sessegnon seem to have clear but opposite shortcomings, with the former struggling defensively and the latter lacking the required composure and technical quality in the final third.
